How a season works

Forty-one days, one path.

  1. 01

    Mala dharana

    The season opens at the temple when each devotee receives the mala from a Guru swami and takes up the vratam.

  2. 02

    Hosted pujas

    Through the season, devotees host padi pujas at home or at the temple on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and alpaharam at the temple on weekdays. Everyone is welcome at every puja.

  3. 03

    Irumudi and yatra

    On the final Friday the irumudi is filled at the temple and Mandala Deeksha travels together for darshanam.

  4. 04

    Darshanam and deeksha viramana

    After darshanam the mala is removed, closing the vratam for the year.
